Recently, I found that Affin Bank is giving the best rates in saving account. With RM 5000 in the account, we can get interest up to 1.45 % in year of 2018.
Most of the interest rates given by bank in Malaysia is considered low, probably only about 0.30 % for Maybank with same amount, and the rest like Public bank or CIMB Bank only give 0.25 %.
Affin Bank, still the highest interest
I asked the staff the reason why Affin Bank can give such a high interest rate. She said that the Bank and do not have many branches. So, Affin Bank use the way of high interest rate to attract customers to save money in their bank.
In addition, this Bank rarely advertises in the media and did not give customers “extra” gifts such as piggy banks, umbrella and so on.
Fixed deposit is only about 3% something, but this saving account already gives about 1.45%. Great. If any Affin bank branch nears to your place, then perhaps you have to change to this Bank. Anyway, we must remember put money in saving account doesn’t mean we can become rich, but saving money is important in financial planning.

- RM1,000.00 – RM4,999.99 – 0.55%
- RM5,000.00 – RM19,999.99 – 1.45%
- RM20,000.00 – RM99,999.99 – 2.25%
- RM100,000.00 – RM499,999.99 – 2.65%
- RM500,000.00 – RM999,999.99- 2.80%
- RM1,000,000.00 and above – 3.08%
